IIT Madras's annual public open house, held alongside Shaastra in early January, where school students can visit 100+ labs and about 80 exhibition stalls on the campus.
Visitors can explore advanced research laboratories, innovation centres and student-led technology projects. The 2026 edition offered around 80 exhibition stalls, live demonstrations and access to over 100 laboratories, and IIT Madras says more than 550 schools (about 130 rural) took part in the 2025 edition. It is a campus-visit and exposure event rather than a competition.
