IBA's need-based programme is funded through Zakat and public and private donors. After approval IBA provides bridge financing until the applicant is matched with an external donor, and recipients must apply for externally funded scholarships recommended by the office. Assistance for undergraduates covers tuition on a course basis for up to eight consecutive semesters and requires a minimum CGPA of 2.5. IBA states that PKR 1,057 million was granted in 2025-26.
