A Himachal Pradesh state merit scholarship of Rs 18,000 a year for the top 1,250 SC and top 1,000 OBC students in the Class 10 (Matric) board result, held in Classes 11 and 12.

A state-sponsored merit scheme (100% State Sponsored) of the Himachal Pradesh Education Department. The scholarship goes to the top 1,250 Scheduled Caste and top 1,000 Other Backward Classes students declared in the Matric result of the H.P. Board of School Education, strictly on merit, for 10+1 and 10+2 in a recognised institution within or outside the State. Renewal in 10+2 depends on satisfactory performance in the 10+1 internal examination.
