FLEX Global is a merit-based exchange funded by the U.S. Department of State and run by American Councils for International Education. It builds on the FLEX program, which American Councils' Tashkent office has run in Uzbekistan for years. Finalists spend one academic year at an American high school and live with a screened host family. During the year they also take part in community activities and leadership activities focused on business, technology and entrepreneurship.
