Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad (ARBIChO) 2027

An annual international chemistry olympiad for school pupils hosted in Uzbekistan by the Fan olimpiadalari markazi, with practical and theoretical exams; Uzbek pupils take part through Uzbekistan's national team. The 3rd edition runs on 3-10 November 2026 in Nukus.

ARBIChO, named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, was founded in 2024 and is run by the Fan olimpiadalari markazi. It has a 5-hour practical exam (40 points) and a 5-hour theoretical exam (60 points), and medals are awarded in a 1:2:3 ratio. Each delegation has 4 students and 2 mentors. The Centre lists ARBIChO among the regional international olympiads in which Uzbekistan takes part and four of which it organises itself; for 2026 about 300 participants from more than 40 countries registered.
