A four-hour, five-problem regional maths olympiad that Vietnam's strongest olympiad students sit at VIASM in Hanoi, with the top 10 papers sent to the international APMO ranking.

APMO is a regional olympiad with nearly 50 participating countries and territories (2026). The paper has five problems of increasing difficulty, each worth 7 points, over 4 hours. Each country submits its 10 highest-scoring papers to the international APMO committee, which awards gold, silver and bronze medals.
