Build and program a team robot with adult mentors, then compete in a US regional event in the 2027 nature-inspired season.
FIRST Robotics Competition teams design, build and program robots with adult mentors, develop a team identity, raise funds and compete in alliance matches. BIOCORE, presented by Haas, is the 2027 challenge within FIRST CANOPY; its game is released January 9, 2027. This route covers US regional-model teams registering for a US regional event, with one regional included in season registration. District-model teams, foreign-hosted events and their different charges are outside this entry. Event venue/city is selected through the team’s official event preferences and capacity process. Regional success may qualify a team for the April 28–May 1, 2027 FIRST Championship in Houston, with a separate fee; advancement is not guaranteed. Do not treat the unreleased game as a known 2026 ruleset.
