Attendees learn about rocks and minerals, visit research labs and do field mapping and sampling: gathering water and soil samples, examining outcrops for fossils, minerals and structures, and touring active mine sites. Students stay at United College residence. Students who attend and later accept admission to a Waterloo Faculty of Science program receive a guaranteed $1000 Faculty of Science Contest and Camp Award.
