TOHO Cinemas Student Film Festival - 20th edition, 2027
A student film festival held in a TOHO Cinemas multiplex, with short film, short animation and promotion (POP & COKE) divisions and a special 'U-18 Expectation' slot that screens works by high school students and younger.

Started in 2007 and run mainly by volunteer university students together with TOHO Cinemas. Divisions: short film (live action, up to 20 minutes, free theme), short animation (up to 20 minutes) and promotion (30-120-second movie on 'POP & COKE'). Two preliminary rounds lead to a final judged by guest judges after screening on a cinema screen. Prizes: Grand Prix 200,000 yen and runner-up 100,000 yen in each division, plus the GEMSTONE Award (chance to work on a new production with TOHO's GEMSTONE Creative Label), TOHO animation Award and SAMANSA Award (50,000 yen each). Works by students under 18 can also be selected for the 'U-18 Expectation' screening.
