The state finals of Texas’s juried high-school visual art event: works that earn top ratings regionally are judged by national jurors, and Rating IV works earn All-State Artist honors.
VASE is the culminating visual-arts event for Texas art students, organized across the state’s 20 Education Service Center regions. At State, artworks are assessed by jurors from across the US; students whose work receives a Rating IV — Exemplary receive a state medallion, are named TAEA/VASE All-State Artists and have their work featured on the VASE website.
