Established in 1990, SSEP emphasizes learning by doing: groups of up to 17 students work with Smith faculty and undergraduate interns. Recent courses include robot design, phage discovery, neuroscience, GIS mapping and climate chemistry; some courses require prior biology or grade 10+.
