SIUT admits on a grant basis the top scorer in each programme, applicants with SAT 1400+ or IELTS 8.0+, and some social categories; grants come from the Chairman of SIUT's Board of Trustees.
Samarkand International University of Technology (SIUT) offers admission on a grant basis to the highest-scoring applicant in each programme, holders of SAT 1400+ or IELTS 8.0+, full orphans, children of Afghan War participants and applicants with disability groups I and II. The grants are funded by the Chairman of the SIUT Board of Trustees, B.Sh. Fazilov, and are given only to applicants who reach the passing score. Grants last one academic year and are renewed if the student's GPA is 3.5 or higher. There are two entrance exams, mathematics and English. If two or more members of one family enrol on a contract basis, each gets a 25% discount.
