SEEDS (Science & Engineering Enhanced Education for Distinguished Students) is The University of Osaka's high school-university program. The first-year Taikan Course combines monthly plenary lectures and 'Mebae Dojo' discussion groups, visits to cutting-edge facilities, cross-cultural exchange with international students, and hands-on research in two of 40+ themes across materials, life sciences, math-physics, applied technology and informatics. Students can advance to the second-year Jikkan Course. A separate Taikan Course S serves students already doing school research.
