National student research olympiad for junior secondary teams, where pairs of students carry out and present a research project in Natural Science, Social Science or Applied Science.
OPSI SMP/MTs is the junior-secondary track of the Olimpiade Penelitian Siswa Indonesia. Fields are IPA (natural science), IPS (social science) and IPT (applied science). Teams run their research after proposal selection, submit a report, and finalists present and are interviewed at the national final. Research budget is capped at Rp15,000,000.
