A four-week, team-based summer engineering program from MIT Beaver Works and Lincoln Laboratory, with in-person and virtual courses such as RACECAR, UAV, AUV, cyber, quantum software and medlytics.
BWSI offers about 14 courses. Virtual courses include CogWorks, Basics of ASICs, Cyber Operations, Medlytics, Microelectronics, Quantum Software, Remote Sensing and Serious Games with AI. In-person courses at MIT include UAV Racing, Autonomous RACECAR, AUV Challenges, Embedded Security, E-Textiles and UAS-SAR. Summer work is team-based. The in-person program is not residential, so families arrange their own housing, and an adult must stay with the student.
