Scholars spend 3 years in Japan, including one year of Japanese language education, then study a specialized course in fields such as engineering (architecture, electronics, IT), hygiene (nutrition, cooking), education, commerce (business, tourism, hotel), fashion, and culture (music, animation, design, interpretation). From the 2027 cycle, non-language exam papers are offered only in English or Japanese.
