Young Citizens Magistrates' Court Mock Trial Competition 2026/27
A mock trial competition for 12-14 year olds at non-fee-paying schools, where teams prosecute and defend a case in local heats and regional finals. Applications are open until 11 November 2026.

Schools receive a specially written criminal case, a preparation guide and online video resources, and where possible support from a local organiser or liaison magistrate. Teachers typically spend around 15-20 hours preparing students; a minimum of 8 students per school is needed.
