Research program · Hybrid
A free STELLA program led by Kobe University with four partner universities in Hyogo, in which about 40 high school students explore science through weekend sessions and write a research proposal, with about 10 advancing to a research stage.
ROOT is run by Kobe University together with University of Hyogo, Kwansei Gakuin University, Konan University and Kobe Pharmaceutical University, supported by JST's STELLA program. The foundation stage (July - January) offers plenary and weekend sessions across fields; completion requires attending at least 5 weekend sessions and presenting a research proposal twice. Around 10 students are selected in January for the practice stage (from February of year 2) to do their own research.
