WLC matches eligible students to businesses and organizations for on-site work and professional development. The current opportunity list includes engineering, computing, science, business, media/design and public-service roles; duties and extra conditions depend on the placement. Typical hours are 5–10 weekly on weekdays between 08:00 and 17:00. Interns complete assigned site hours, career-development meetings/homework, an internship workbook and final survey. Application and interview are selective, and neither acceptance nor first-choice site is guaranteed.
