The Asian Science Camp was proposed in 2005 by Nobel laureates Masatoshi Koshiba and Yuan T. Lee. It brings young people from across Asia together with top scientists for lectures, discussions and exchange. JST runs Japan's delegation: it recruits and selects participants and registers them with the host. Some editions were cancelled by the host (2020, 2021, 2023, 2024).
