A team research course for middle-school year 1–2 students in Gyeongbuk and Daegu, run by Gyeongkuk National University's (former Andong National University) science gifted centre; applications open on GED from 5 to 11 November 2026.
Teams of students choose one research topic in convergence science (chemistry, biology) or convergence engineering (mathematics, software) and write a paper over the year; papers are presented in September and the best 5–6 teams go on to the national university gifted-centre research presentation contest. Graduates of the year-2/3 courses can receive a professor's recommendation when applying to gifted high schools. About 12 places in each of the two fields.
