A paid, six-week technical-support internship for Illinois high-school JROTC juniors, seniors and recent graduates. Work onsite with Fermilab staff, scientists and engineers in Batavia.
Interns carry out routine technical tasks for an experiment or support group under direct employee supervision. The full-time placement runs Jun 28–Aug 6, 2027 and ends with an oral presentation and exit survey. Fermilab describes selection as highly competitive. This is a JROTC-specific route, not a general internship for every high-school student.
