Solve a supervised school mathematics contest with a grade-appropriate paper and formal scoring.
CIMC is for grades 9–10; CSMC is for grades 11–12 and CÉGEP. Motivated younger students may write up, never below their official grade; only one of CIMC/CSMC in the school year. Each individual paper has nine questions, six answer-only and three full solutions, over two hours. Complete, clear reasoning matters. Any full-time student may participate; CSMC international honour-roll/team-score status additionally requires birth on/after January 1, 2008 and a correctly completed Student Information Form. CIMC official status requires grade 10 or lower and that form. Older unofficial participants still have papers marked and may earn certificates/medals.
