ARIES Nainital Science Centre: School Group Visits (ASPOP)

ARIES invites school and college student groups to visit its science centre at Manora Peak, Nainital, for a tour of the 104-cm Sampurnanand Telescope, a planetarium show, solar viewing and night-sky watching. Visits are free and are booked through a web form.

Run by the ARIES Science Popularization and Outreach Programme (ASPOP). Student groups see the 104-cm telescope, weather balloon launches on most Wednesdays, an interaction with a scientist when available, the planetarium show, a poster gallery, sunspots through a telescope and night-sky watching. The large Devasthal telescopes (3.6-m DOT and 4-m ILMT) cannot be visited.
