What you’ll need

Approved US competition site, exact manager-provided student link and manager approval; confirm local fee/deadline.
Eligible school enrollment/physical attendance and grade; age not over 19.5 on Nov 13, 2026.
One student account and one AMC 10/12 exam per day; returning students reuse their account.
Under 18 parent/guardian registration, consent and liability/indemnity waiver; AMC 12 age 18+ may consent personally.
No disqualifying MAA family relationship or lifetime ban without explicit appeal permission.
Work independently; no calculators, formula sheets, phones, smart devices or outside assistance.
Use permitted writing tools, ruler/compass and manager-supplied blank paper; a digital device is only for the supervised exam.

Overview

AMC 12B is the Nov 13, 2026 offering in the 2026–2027 MAA mathematical olympiad pathway. It contains 25 multiple-choice problems in high-school mathematics, including advanced algebra, geometry and trigonometry; calculus is excluded. A competition manager administers paper or digital answers in person at the registered venue; digital delivery does not allow home/remote proctoring. This entry covers US venues, which students select through their school or another registered institution. Success can lead to AIME and later USAMO/USAJMO under those stages’ separate eligibility rules; it does not guarantee selection.
