A Scottish Government-funded scholarship, run by the British Council in Pakistan, that pays tuition and hostel costs for women starting a four-year bachelor's degree at an HEC-recognised university in Pakistan in selected fields. The 2026 round has closed; the next round is not yet announced.
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls are funded by the Scottish Government and administered in Pakistan by the British Council. The bachelor's track supports a four-year degree at any HEC-recognised university across Pakistan, but only in these subject areas: Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security and Agriculture, Health Sciences, STEM and Climate. Award-holders receive tuition fees, university hostel costs where applicable, and travel between home and university twice a year for students living in on-campus hostels. Young women with disabilities, from rural areas or from minority groups are encouraged to apply.
