An annual outreach day at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, where school students of Classes 8-12 attend faculty lectures, laboratory visits and experiment demonstrations by NISER students.
The Open Day introduces young students to different fields of basic science and scientific research and helps school students make informed career choices. It includes lectures by NISER faculty, laboratory visits and demonstrations, and NISER students from several departments show experiments illustrating school-level concepts and some more advanced ideas. NISER also hosts educational visits by schools on Fridays by appointment through a separate registration form.
