The Children's Science Congress, a flagship programme of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST, spreads the method of science through learning by doing. Children study a local problem related to the focal theme (five sub-themes in 2026-27: waste management (R5), energy (E4), water, food-agriculture-health, and Indian Knowledge Systems for sustainability). The programme is open to children outside school too. Projects move from district to state and then national congress.
