The Government of Nagaland's State Merit Scholarship, run by the Directorate of Higher Education through the Common Scholarship Portal, open to indigenous Nagaland students in post-matric studies from Class XI with at least 80% in Class 10 (best five subjects).
The scheme is sponsored by the Government of Nagaland. Fresh applicants must be in the first year of the course: Class XI or Diploma 1st year need at least 80% in Class 10 (best five subjects), Bachelor's 1st year 80% in Class 12, and B.Ed or PG 70%. Renewal for Class XII needs 80% in Class XI. Students who failed their last examination, hold another scholarship or are government employees are not eligible. NIOS students can apply with the prescribed subject combination.
