DST's national scheme that motivates school students of Classes 6-12 to turn original science and society-related ideas into innovations; schools nominate student ideas online and winners go through district, state and national-level exhibition and project competitions (NLEPC).
Run by DST with the National Innovation Foundation - India (NIF), the scheme aims to target one million original ideas and foster creativity among school children. Selected ideas are supported with INSPIRE award money (the portal has an award-money status check) and progress through district and state-level committees (D/SLEPC) to the national-level exhibition and project competition.
