Yozgi maktab · Yuzma-yuz
A three-day residential event in Tokyo where about 100 girls from junior high year 3 to high school year 3 meet women scientists and engineers, join experiments and explore STEM careers. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet.
Started by the National Women's Education Center (NWEC, now JGEPA) and now run by the NPO GSTEM-CPP, Natsugaku gives girls hands-on contact with many science and engineering fields: experiments with researchers and engineers, poster exhibits by more than 30 academic societies and companies, and conversations with university students and professionals. Follow-up support on career choice continues after the event.
