A geography and environment contest for students in Grades 9–12 run by Hanoi University of Mining and Geology; it selects and trains the four students who represent Vietnam at iGeo 2027.
Organised by Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) with professional sponsorship from the Institute of Natural Resources, Environment and Chemical Safety (IRECS). The online round covers physical and human geography, environment and sustainable development, and reading maps, charts and data; the top 16 reach the iGeo-style final. The top 12 receive certificates and medals; the best 4 join an advanced training programme (earth science, GIS and mapping, academic English, fieldwork, mock iGeo tests) and go to iGeo 2027 with 2 team leaders. Papers are expected to be in English.
