Daryn, the Ministry of Education's center for gifted students, runs this competition with AEROO in three sections: AEROO Satellite Launch Competition (design, build and launch a CubeSat-format nanosatellite into the stratosphere on a balloon), AEROO Space AI Competition (an AI-based space project presented as a startup with a business model) and AEROO Rocket Science Competition (design, build and launch water and model rockets). Daryn expected about 200 students from across Kazakhstan and about 20 from abroad at the 2026 final.
