Azim Premji Foundation's scholarship of Rs 30,000 a year for the full duration of the first undergraduate degree or diploma of girls from government schools in 21 eligible states and union territories, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The scholarship supports girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue college education by reducing financial barriers. Shortlisted girls receive up to Rs 1.5 lakh, i.e. Rs 30,000 annually until completion of an undergraduate programme of 2 to 5 years, usable for tuition or out-of-pocket expenses. The foundation states it is not based on merit, caste, income or religion. It is relevant to Class 12 students because eligibility needs a Class 12 pass and first-year admission in 2026-27.
