A free economics olympiad and business-game festival for pupils of grades 7-11, run from Novosibirsk with participants from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Registration on the olympiad website runs from 1 November to 15 December 2026.
Sibiriada. Shag v mechtu is the 34th International Economic Festival for school students, organised with Novosibirsk State University, HSE University, Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation and the Economic Lyceum of Berdsk. It combines an olympiad in economic theory with contests in applied economics and a business game with its own bank and currency. The regional venue list for the in-person round 2 includes Tashkent (ALFAKOM training centre). About 600 pupils from Russia and neighbouring countries are expected at the final, where a DANO data-analysis hackathon is also held for grades 8-10.
