A free one-day hands-on cybersecurity course at the University of the Ryukyus for students aged 25 or under living in Japan, run as part of the national Security Camp talent programme.
Security Camp Mini is the regional, shorter version of Japan's Security Camp, a youth cybersecurity talent programme backed by IPA. The Okinawa course includes a talk on cybercrime and information ethics by the Okinawa Prefectural Police, a lab on bypass techniques for Windows defence mechanisms and EDR log analysis, and a lab on building your own shell and containers on Linux. Participation does not prevent applying to the Security Camp national camp or other mini camps.
