Shiono Naomichi Memorial Mathematics Free Research Contest (Sansu/Sugaku no Jiyu Kenkyu), 15th

A national contest for independent mathematics research reports by students, run by Rimse, with junior high and high school divisions and the top prize named after Naomichi Shiono.

Students explore questions from daily life, society or their math studies using mathematics and write up a report (theme, motivation, method, results and discussion, reflections). Entries are judged by division (elementary lower/upper, junior high, high school) through regional and central review. The best entry in each division receives the Shiono Naomichi Prize.
