Nine free state creative schools for pupils gifted in literature and other creative fields admit pupils mainly into grade 7, with a few places in grades 8-10, through a three-stage creative exam.
The Agency runs nine creative schools named after writers and poets (including Ishoqxon Ibrat, Muhammad Yusuf, Erkin Vohidov, Abdulla Qodiriy and Abdulla Oripov schools) for pupils interested in literature and other creative fields. Pupils are admitted after grade 6 (20 per class), and the 2026-27 quotas also list a few places in grades 8, 9 and 10. The exam has three stages: writing a creative text, a creative interview, and 50 test questions (native language and literature, English and an IQ test); a foreign-languages track runs the first two stages in English, German or French.
