FDDI-CBSE National Design Competition 2026 (Season 2), Classes 9-12
A national school design contest run by the Footwear Design & Development Institute with CBSE: Class 9-12 students solve everyday, sustainability, ergonomic or local-craft design problems, with regional rounds online or at FDDI campuses and a national level with prize money.

Themes: Everyday Problem Solving, Sustainability and Circularity, Ergonomics and User-Centricity, Local Craft and Materials. National level winners (top 3 per theme, online and offline modes) receive joint CBSE-FDDI certificates, medals, prize money and a 50% concession on first-year tuition if they join an FDDI undergraduate programme. In Season 1 (2025) the national prizes for a theme were Rs 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000. FDDI is an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
