Ehime University's STELLA program for high school students, starting with an unselected online foundation course that earns university credit, followed by selective hands-on courses, research projects, science entrepreneurship and overseas programs.
SHIN-GS, Ehime University's second-term JST program following its Global Science Campus (2018-2021), develops 'glocal frontier leaders' through science entrepreneurship, scientific inquiry and cross-cultural skills, with scientist/engineer, entrepreneur and early-development tracks. The foundation course (stage 0, 200+ students, no selection) is on demand and earns 1 high school-university credit; credits from the foundation and development stages can be recognised after entry to the five Shikoku national universities, Matsuyama University and Okayama University of Science's veterinary faculty. Later stages include research projects, startup challenges and overseas trips; the program won the 2nd PLIJ STEAM and Inquiry Grand Prix.
