A Directorate of Higher Education merit scholarship for Class 11-12 students who ranked at the top in the secondary and higher secondary examinations. 2026-27 applications go through the MahaDBT 2.0 portal.
Under the Assistance to Meritorious Students scheme (government resolution of 17 May 1984), Class 11 and 12 students who ranked at the top in the secondary and higher secondary examinations receive the junior-level scholarship; the amount varies with the course. For renewal the junior-level student needs 55% marks and admission to the next class, and the DHE sanction letter. Maharashtrian students studying outside Maharashtra can apply. The page does not give seat numbers for the junior level.
