National contest (since 1979) for elementary, middle and high school students who design and build their own science-based inventions.

Students turn their own creative ideas into working science inventions. There is one free-topic category split by school level (elementary, middle, high). National finalists display their invention and are interviewed by judges; around 300 awards are given, including the President's Award and Prime Minister's Award.
