The Embassy of Japan in Korea invites Korean learners of Japanese to give a five-minute speech in Japanese about their experiences of Japan and Korea; high school and university winners with Korean citizenship are slated for a trip to Japan.
A bilingual exchange speech contest co-hosted by the Embassy of Japan, JETAA Korea and CLAIR Seoul. Korean speakers speak in Japanese and Japanese speakers in Korean, on any topic except politics, ideology or religion (for example, what one can learn from the other country). Finalists are chosen from scripts and videos; at the final, seven top prizes (Grand Prix, gold, silver, bronze, Japan-Korea Friendship, International Exchange and Future awards) plus an audience special prize are given.
