A Government of Goa scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students in Classes 5 to 10, with an extra merit amount for students who score 50% or more. Applications are open on the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal until 15 November 2026.
The scheme aims to reduce drop-outs among ST students by helping families who cannot otherwise afford schooling. The portal lists a revised assistance of Rs 4,950 a year for Classes 9-10 (Rs 4,290 for Classes 5-7) plus a merit amount for students with 50% marks or more. Families with income up to Rs 2.5 lakh should also apply for the central pre-matric ST scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal; families between Rs 2.5 and Rs 5 lakh apply only on the Goa portal.
