The Children's Science Congress, promoted and sponsored by the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST, gives children a platform to explore a national theme through projects that are innovative, based on everyday life, based on field data and followed by a clear conclusion and follow-up plan. CCOST page states the programme is not only for school-going children but also for school drop-outs and marginalised children. Selected young scientists attend the National Children's Science Congress held 27-31 December every year.
