Students write the first page (up to 400 words) of a novel that imagines how a present-day issue has played out 150 years in the future. Entries are judged in two categories, Grades 7-9 and Grades 10-12, with one winner in each. In the most recent posted rules each winner received a one-year OwlCrate book subscription and their school library received 50 young-adult books.
