A free residential exchange in Japan where about 16 Japanese high school students live and learn together with American high school diplomats for about ten days in summer. The 2027 call has not been published yet.
The Japan program welcomes American high school students who visit Japan as high school diplomats. Japanese participants share a residential training centre with them for about ten days, deepening mutual cultural understanding through joint activities. Students can apply for this program alone or together with the U.S. program. Selection is by documents and essay, then interviews in Japanese and English plus group work.
