Supercomputer 'Fugaku' Experience Camp 2027 (スパコン「富岳」体験塾)

A free two-day event at four supercomputing centres in which junior high, high school and KOSEN students with C/C++ experience use the supercomputer Fugaku to tackle advanced AI and parallel-computing tasks. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet.

Hosted by RIST, which supports users of Japan's flagship supercomputer, with RIKEN Center for Computational Science and the information technology centres of the Universities of Tokyo, Nagoya and Kyushu; supported by MEXT, Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City, with cooperation from the SuperCon committee. In 2026 the theme was building a restricted Boltzmann machine (the Nobel-winning neural network idea) and learning the basics of parallel computing on Fugaku.
