Kemenag's national science and research olympiad (the merger of the former KSM and MYRES), with a Science field and a Research field, selected from district/city to province to national level. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet.

Science fields in 2026: for MTs, Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Natural Science and Integrated Social Science; for MA, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Integrated Geography. Research themes in 2026 included Ecotheology, the SDGs and digital transformation. The test is computer-based at sites set by the district/city OMI committee. In 2026 about 230,000 students registered, including 13,271 from general schools (SD, SMP and SMA); OMI replaced the former Kompetisi Sains Madrasah (KSM) and absorbed MYRES in 2025.
