The three flagship specialized schools in Tashkent (IT; physics and astronomy; biology and chemistry) and their regional branches admit pupils by test into free places, with the main intake after grades 4 and 6 and a few places in grades 8-10.

Muhammad al-Xorazmiy school specialises in information technology, Mirzo Ulugbek school in physics and astronomy, and Abu Ali ibn Sino school in biology and chemistry; all three are in Tashkent and have branches in the regions. Al-Xorazmiy admits pupils after grade 4; Mirzo Ulugbek and Abu Ali ibn Sino after grade 6. The 2026-27 quotas also list smaller intakes into grades 8, 9 and 10 at several schools and branches. Exams are one-stage tests: mathematics with logic questions (30) and English (15) for IT and physics tracks, natural science (30) and English (15) for the biology-chemistry track.
